LOCAL PHOTOS & PURCHASE DATA

Privacy

Your photos are processed in your browser. Purchase verification uses a separate online service.

Photos stay on your device

The browser stacker reads the files you choose and processes them locally. It does not send your photo files, sky mask, project, or stacked image to our server or an online AI service.

Photographs and local working files

The stacker uses browser memory and, when supported, temporary storage on your device to work on a sequence. It attempts to remove its working files after processing ends. If the browser closes unexpectedly or a worker is stopped, temporary files may remain until the next run or until you clear this website’s browser storage.

Exported TIFFs, masks, reports, and project files are downloaded to a location you control. A saved project contains file names, file sizes, modification times, the mask, and processing settings; it does not contain the original photographs. Reports can contain file names and processing details. Review these files before sharing them.

Clearing browser storage does not delete downloads or original photos. It can remove the purchase session used to recognize a license on that browser. Save your purchase recovery key before clearing storage, changing browser, or moving to another device. Purchase cookies and local browser data do not transfer automatically to a different website domain; use your recovery key if needed.

Website visits

We do not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics in the published pages. You do not need a website account to try the stacker. The hosting infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and access times.

The stacker requests application files and purchase-service status over the network. Processing photographs locally does not mean the website makes no network requests.

Purchase and recovery information

The public browser beta provides free full-resolution export. General sales are not open. Separately, explicitly invited testers may activate a limited-time LIVE payment test. In that mode, a purchase costs US$19.99 plus applicable tax and is a real charge, with the 14-day full refund policy. Entering an invitation does not itself make a payment. The invitation is checked by our server, and a separate short-lived, secure, HTTP-only cookie limits access to the test. Keep the invitation private. When you start an available checkout, the site creates a purchase session and stores an essential, secure cookie named __Host-nightscape_purchase. This cookie is inaccessible to page scripts and expires after 90 days. It is used to verify and restore purchase access, not for advertising.

The browser also uses session storage for a checkout request identifier and purchase identifier. Our purchase database holds the corresponding transaction and product references, payment status, timestamps, refund or adjustment status, and access records. Session secrets and recovery keys are stored as hashes. Payment notification fingerprints are retained to detect repeated or conflicting notifications. For abuse protection, request limits use a hashed identifier derived from the network address; the purchase database does not store the raw IP address in these records.

We do not receive card numbers through our purchase API. Paddle handles checkout and collects the billing and payment information it requests. Its handling of that information is described in Paddle’s privacy notice and the terms displayed at checkout. Paddle checkout is loaded when you choose to open it.

A recovery key grants access to the purchased license. Keep it private. Creating a replacement invalidates the previous key. We retain purchase and support records as needed to provide access, handle refunds, prevent misuse, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations; we do not promise immediate deletion of records that must be retained.

Support

If you email support, we receive your address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. The mailbox is hosted by Gmail. We use correspondence to answer your request and handle related purchase or product issues.

Do not send passwords, payment card details, identity documents, or recovery keys by email. For a processing question, begin with the browser version, operating system, image dimensions, and the error message or report. Original photographs are not required for a general support question or a refund request.
